I love my profession because I know how important it is to live or work in a space that feels right to you. I don’t ask clients “What do you want this room to look like?” Instead, I ask them, “What do you want this room to FEEL like?”

I love that moment when I show a drawing to clients, and they say, “Oh, yes, this is exactly what I had in mind!” And I love it even more once the design comes to life, and they’re walking into their new space, and there’s this look of wonder on their faces.

My husband and I moved to the North Country from New Jersey a few years ago. He had retired, the pandemic shut down my job, and we both wanted to live somewhere quieter with more natural beauty. We bought land, and I designed a house for us.

I wasn’t ready to retire yet, so I started Heading Home Design. I look forward to putting a smile on your face!
